Janice Felner reviews Bare Lifts.

The Bare Lifts Bra features two independent adhesive pads that stick over each breast, providing support and a ‘perky’ look. The main intent is to gently lift the chest into an attractive position without visible bra straps. It’s a three part process of sticking the adhesive in place, pealing off the backing and gently lifting the breasts from above, providing a more natural look. It’s an amazing bra alternative.

Bare Lifts are exclusively advertised on ‘as seen on t.v.’ promotions. Below you’ll find the top four reasons why these breast lifts are worth purchasing. Visit the official site for the infomercial. Here are the top four reasons why you should try the bare lifts bra adhesives:

Comfort

Bra Lifts Adhesive Pads

Taking the adhesive pads out of the box and wearing them is very easy.  No instructions are needed. It is very intuitive with the shape of the pads (they provide instructions anyways).  The pads themselves are relatively thin and soft and stuck under my breasts comfortably. It was a little strange getting used to having no bra straps holding them in place, however, after a few hours it’s hard to notice the Bare Lifts are even there.

I tried on several different tops and outfits to see if the pads would slip, rub or come off.  Deciding to wear them out for a night, they didn’t move at all and felt very securely in place.  I felt conscious of wearing the Bra Lifts at first, but quickly forgot about them after meeting with friends.

On a comfort scale of 10, I would give the Bra Lifts a solid 8.  I took a few marks off just because of the time to adjust to wearing them and how unconventional they are. It’s really quite a shift if you’ve worn typical bras everyday. Overall, I was nicely surprised at how comfortable the Bra Lifts felt.

Look

The look of the Bare Lifts pads themselves isn’t anything special. They look like sticky pads. It is probably more fair to judge how the pads make your body look. I was surprised at how perky my breasts looked. After 3 kids, there has been some sagging I’ll admit, but you’d hardly notice when I put on the Bare Lifts.  It’s easy to believe these were designed by women because it supports all the right areas to push up the bust while not exaggerating, which perhaps a man might have tried to do?  Regardless, the point here is the product itself doesn’t look fantastic, yet it will make you look fantastic. That’s a nice trade-off.  Definitely a 9 out of 10 on the look scale, especially when compared to conventional bras. Ladies, I really don’t know why we put up with them for so long.

Versatility

Versatility in this case refers to how the Bare Lifts Bra works on a variety of body sizes and lifestyles. For instance, how about jogging or exercising? Will the pads stay in place? Several of my friends lead more active lifestyles than me and they swear by Bare Lifts. Whether it’s yoga, jogging, cycling or going to the gym, all I’ve heard is that they are less intrusive on exercising and less abrasive on the body. One good friend of mine, Leslie, notes how the Bare Lifts pads don’t rub and create a rash like traditional bras. They are lightweight and keep your chest in place under strenuous activity, the same as a sport bra, but without all the fabric.

Being a mother of 3, I get my share of exercise but more in a practical setting. Bare Lifts really work well by being casual enough to wear around the house and still get great support. I wear them right from my shower in the morning until bed at night.

Another important aspect of versatility is how the bra supports varying chest sizes.  For larger woman, they apparently still cater to a D cup and even slightly larger in some cases. They are also quite ideal for A cups and smaller chests. I’m on the bigger end at a C cup, and find them quite suitable. The adhesive pads are very flexible so you can play around with what fits best. Because of the diversity of women this product will work for, it deserves another solid 9 out of 10 for versatility.

Cost

At this point, if you are considering ordering some Bare Lifts and trying them out, no doubt cost is a big factor. As usual with ‘as seen on tv’ promotions, it takes a while to figure out the ‘actual’ cost.  Here is the real scoop on the cost and what you’ll actually receive.

After all of the pitching in the infomercial and website, they finally offer 20 adhesive Bare Lifts for $10. Of course this doesn’t account for shipping and handling that will run around $4.95. After all, it’s not like they’re shipping huge boxes. This is a huge reason why I ordered in the first place. It seemed to be worth the risk in ordering for such a low price. What’s the harm. In the end, the Bare Lifts product is relatively cheap, although the adhesive pads won’t last very long. At the most, they should last 24hrs, meaning wearing it 2-3 days.  This is the one draw-back of the product. To me, the functionality, comfort and look out weigh the temporary nature of the pads.

I recommend buying just one order to start with to see how comfortable they are for you and if the adjustment from conventional bras isn’t too overwhelming. This way, you can test for yourself if they are right for you.
